Ripping Down the Porch, and my Pimped Lawnmower!

Adam and I demolished my porch in a matter of hours, it was awesome. I love smashing stuff, especially when it's ugly and rotten. And Luke was there too. Then Dave and I (although mostly dave) pimped out my lawnmower.

A tasty Rum cake the Heidi made Jaime and I after the wedding. I don't know how the photos ended up here, but oh well.
It was so good I ate the whole thing in a few hours.
Our old pet toad Franklin that used to live under our front porch. I think he moved back down to the pond because after these photos we never saw him again.
But look at the size of that monster! It was massive. Hand added for scale purposes.
Our former back porch, an atrocity of modern engineering and architecture.
It would have rotted off the house at any second.
So we took matters into our own hands and brought in the Polmateer demolition team!
10 minutes took care of all the windows.

Other side.
20 minutes later, we were down to roof and beams.
It was going fast!
Doesen't look like much now!
The junk pile was already huge!

Debris was everywhwere, we tried to stay organized but there's only so much you can do when you're working at the pace that Adam and I were working at that day.
This is about an hour later. Getting the roof off was a challenge, as there were multiple layers of junk up there, and lots of wet nasty rot.
Jaime took some photos of Luke.

Can you find him?
He liked the bushes.

Meanwhile, Adam and I were rocking out the porch. It's gone! We were separating the junk from the burnable wood from the metal.
Here's the total junk pile that can't be burned or recycled.
I had a lot of aluminium from the porch and other junk, so I figured I'd make a port run.
The back of the hudge without the porch.
Where the vine plant thing used to be.
All of the wood cut up and ready for combustion.
All cleaned up! It's amazing how much debris was generated by this.
Looks clean!
And here's the aluminum, or AKA the $$$ pile. I got about $70 for all this stuff. Over 125 pounds of it at $.67/pound.
Out the window.
Pechette's studio.
Installed the window.
Workin.
We ran some new electrical into the jam room.
14" largemouth from Jaime's Grandparents' camp.
And my prized catch, a 20" walleye!
It was a monster! Put up an awesome fight, but I won for once.
Here's my new and improved lawnmower! Courtesy of Inline Performance, this thing is a beast. Upgrades included a custom Spoiler, exhaust stack, and Ralley strip. Also we added some decorative decals, to give it that fast look and feel.
Detail of the "Rally" stripe. Ironically, the mower was already labeled "Rally" so we embellished the fact with a nice racing stripe. You wouldn't believe how fast it goes with this addition.
Even though there aren't any Jeg's parts on this bad boy, it sure helps it feel faster!
The main improvement was fixing the busted off wheel. Dave welded this plate on, it'll never break ever again!
Detail of the spoiler and its decal. Inline Perfor mance baby!
Front right side view. Doesen't it look fast? Howabout that muffler. It reduced backpressure and made for a less restricitive flow, so I could mow faster without stalling out. The downside of the spoiler ist hat it generates so much downforce that it's been making ruts in the lawn, so I have to be careful not to push too fast.
What it looks like when I'm driving it. What a piece of work, wouldn't you agree?
